In this study you are asked to look at squares containing a number of dots and to estimate how many dots are in eqch square, Scroll down and look at the first 14 trials in the warmup, which are put in order of increasing number. We are not asking you to count the number of dots or to compute anything, but instead, just get an impression and estimate how many dots you think are there.
For example, you think there are 75 dots in the square, type 75 in the box next to the square. If you think there are 999 dots, type 999 in the box beside the square. Try to do your best to get an impression of number and type that number in the box.
Scroll down and look over the first 14 trials before you begin, then complete those trials, followed by the other trials below, which are in random order. Again, don't try to count the dots or make computations, but just estimate the number by looking and forming an impression.
