On each trial, you will see the salary that you are offered, and the salaries of others who work at the same company. In each case, the salary they offer you is labeled Your Salary and the salary or salaries of other(s) who already work there are labeled as Others.
For example, imagine that one other person doing the same work is paid $46,000, and you are offered $40,000. How likely would you be to take that job? In another case, imagine that you are offered $52,000 per year and there are two others who are paid $40,000 and $70,000.
When judging your salary satisfaction in each scenario, we only want you to think of how likely you would be to accept the offer in the context of the others' salaries in that specific scenario; do not consider any options of the other scenarios or from outside the experiment. Please rate how likely you would be to accept each job offer taken in isolation of all other contexts. That is, judge each case on its own, without thinking of the other trials in this study or other considerations.
You should assume that all other aspects of the companies are the same; that is, assume that they have equal resources, that raises will be the same at any of the companies, and that the gaps in salaries between people who work there will remain the same. In other words, please do not imagine that things will change over time or imagine other differences among the companies aside from what is given in each scenario.
